Diving Deep: The Courage to Embrace Risk
Welcome to the Soul Unscripted blog. This blog serves as a space for self-discovery, empowerment, and community. It’s a space where you can tap into your inner strength and potential.
We continue
the journey in the overarching theme of "Treasures in the Shadows: Stepping
into Alignment." This post's theme is Diving Deep: The Courage to
Embrace Risk.
Continuing to build on the focus card of Will-O’-Wisp and the clarifying words of treasures hidden in the shadows, the great mystery, epiphany, and success. We will journey deeper with these cards to continue answering the questions: “What will help us this month to release what no longer serves us and step into greater alignment with who we are and who we are becoming?”
The main focus card for this post is from The Shaman’s Dream Oracle deck: Deep Diver. The clarifying words from this card are diving into a task, embracing risk, and new discoveries. I also used the Native Spirit Oracle card as a clarifier: Prayer Feather.

Building on the theme of treasures hidden in the shadows, this week's card, Deep Diver, asks us to embrace risk. Embracing risk means being open to the unknown, being willing to face our fears, and being ready to make changes in our lives. While everyone has a different level of risk tolerance, this card invites you to take the plunge into yourself. You must be able to be introspective and honestly look at your life to find your truth and identify areas that need attention. Can you look beyond the surface to find what truly matters?
I am a naturally inquisitive and introspective person who is willing to do the work needed to release what doesn't serve me so I can move into great alignment with a greater vision for myself. One way I shine a light on myself is by paying attention to the things that trigger me. I use these triggers as a spotlight, allowing my intuition to propel me toward my authentic self.
The Prayer Feather card adds another dimension: love. In some Native traditions, feathers represent a connection with the Creator, signifying that you are not only loved but that you are love. Can you love yourself enough to take the risk of diving deep within to meet the version of yourself you've always been but haven't allowed yourself to be? There is no real risk at all, but it certainly feels like there is. If you can't get to the point of saying you love yourself, perhaps you can get to the point of being able to say you like yourself.
When I'm setting out on an unknown path, I come at it from a space of curiosity and adventure, and I'd invite you to try it or create your own version that better suits you. This journey is an inside job, and you will be amazed at what can transpire.
I'll leave you with these questions: Are you willing to take the risk? Are you willing to do the work? Are you willing to dive in and make the commitment to see it through, no matter what the outside world may think?
As always, take what resonates with you and leave what doesn’t. Although I used the cards to help focus the messages in this post and the others, I rely on my intuition more than anything else. So, you don’t need the cards to do your own deep dive. However, if the cards have helped you, I invite you to sit with these cards yourself and notice what comes up for you. Your intuition is a powerful guide, and your practice should reflect your unique path. Be curious, stay open, and let the cards and intuition speak to you in the way that feels most true to you.
